Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026. This policy explains how personal data is handled in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Latvian law.

2. Personal data collected

  • Contact data you provide: name, email address, phone number, company name and position.
  • Project data: the content of your enquiries, correspondence and project documentation.
  • Billing data: billing address, registration or VAT number, invoice records and payment status. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never received or stored by us.
  • Technical data: limited server log data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, generated when you visit this website.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Responding to enquiries and preparing offers — performance of a contract or steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Delivering, supporting and maintaining services — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Invoicing, accounting and tax records — compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Website security and integrity — legitimate interests in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Recipients and processors

Personal data may be shared with service providers acting as processors on our behalf: Stripe (payment processing), website hosting and email providers, and, where required, accounting and legal advisers or competent authorities. Processors are bound by data processing agreements. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, it is protected by an adequacy decision or by Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to 2 years from the last contact. Contract and project records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for 10 years afterwards where required by Latvian accounting and tax legislation. Server logs are kept for a short technical period.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Requests can be sent to info@macer.lv and are answered within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija).

7. Security

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are applied, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access control, and the use of established providers such as Stripe for payment handling.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated. The date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
